More Info: Estonian-born Arvo Pärt is one of todays most popular living composers and renowned for combining the ancient tradition of sacred music with modern techniques. His Passio is a setting of the story of the crucifixion of Christ, but differs from Bachs dramatic and emotional Passions. Pärt's mesmerizing score can be described as beautifully alluring and quietly meditative. Grammy award winning Craig Hella Johnson conducts this thought-provoking performance.
